About Dianne

As a child, I loved to draw, paint, and craft, and growing up my dream was to become an artist. I took every art class I could in high school (even fighting with my guidance counselor who told me I was taking “too many fun classes”), and when it came time for college I attended Parsons School of Design. When it came time to pick a concentration, I wanted to go into Fine Arts, but I wanted to avoid all the starving artist clichés, so I went with Illustration. After graduation, I discovered that being an illustrator meant being just a few steps away from a starving artist at any given moment, and I switched my focus to graphic design.

I worked my way up the design ladder pretty quickly. I was the Senior Designer for a company that produced children’s licensed stationery products, the assistant art director for a toy company, and the art director for a paper crafting and scrapbooking company. I always worked in small companies and my job duties usually overlapped with those of the marketing department.

I’ve been a vegetarian my entire adult life, and I went vegan in 2001. After the dietary switch, lifelong health issues such as allergies and chronic headaches went away. Friends and coworkers began asking for health advice when they saw how well I was doing. I spent several years giving out free advice from books I had read, and in 2009 I decided to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a health coach.

Dianne Wenz Veggiegirl

What does health coaching have to do with design and marketing? Well, once I became a certified HHC, I began designing my own marketing materials and promoting myself. I started blogging and using social media to my advantage and I created a name for myself in the vegan community. People began to notice and ask if I could help them do the same.

With Dianne Wenz Consulting, I offer 20 years of design and marketing experience, as well as an extensive knowledge of social media. I have immersed myself in the online vegan community, and have a wealth of knowledge of all things vegan. Here, I have combined all of the things I love to offer design, marketing, PR, and social media management to businesses and professionals.
